I’m trying to figure out whether this is a decent trade-off.
Last year and years prior, WWE held a PPV called Cyber-Sunday – originally called Taboo Tuesday – where WWE fans would have their say on what happens in certain matches… i.e. who does the champion face, what stipulation between two men are there, what silly costume do the Divas wear in order for us to care about them, and so on and so forth. It was a novel concept, but for some reason – possibly something to do with sales being shit – WWE decided to drop that PPV in favor of Bragging Rights, which is touted as a Smackdown vs Raw encounter, but only ends up being one match billed as such… and a Divas match.
In any case, it’s another generic PPV. So let’s get this over with… UPDATED WITH RESULTS
Smackdown Vs. RAW Divas Tag-Team Bout
Team RAW (Melina, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly Kelly Kelly) vs. Team Smackdown (Beth Phoenix, Michelle McCool, Anvil’s Kid)
Oh goodie, a Divas match. Presumably someone cares about this match. I generally don’t. RAW wins because it’s the flagship show… and it’s the same show that HHH is on.
Winner: Smackdown Divas… that’s not a good sign, is it?
Smackdown Vs. RAW Champion vs. Champion
John Morrison (IC Champ) vs. The Miz (US Champ)
Oops. Forgot about this one. I’m flipping the coin on this one and the coin says Morrison will win this one. Either way, the fight between former tag partners should be most entertaining to say the least.
Winner: The Miz… wow. Just… wow.
Anything Goes Ironman Match for the WWE Championship
Randy Orton (c) vs. John Cena
The stipulation to the match is that if Cena doesn’t win, he leaves RAW FOREVER. Obviously, Cena is going to win because there’s no way anyone is going to be stupid enough to kick the franchise player off the flagship show… because we don’t need more HHH as champ bullshit.
Winner: John Cena regains the championship
Four Corners Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Undertaker (c) vs. CM Punk vs. Batista vs. Rey Mysterio
Look for Batista to get the belt… and drop it three hours later after hurting himself… Seriously, though, I think Taker is going to retain… should be interesting if Big Dave does win.
Winner: Undertaker retains
Smackdown vs. Raw 14-Man Clusterfuck Match
Team RAW (HHH, HBK, Cody Rhodes, Big Slow, Mizark Henry, Coffee Kingston, Jack Swagger)
Team SD! (Chris Jericho, Kane, Finlay, Matt Hardy, R-Truth, David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd)
RAW wins because it’s the show that HHH is on… and no way is the WWE gonna let the team with the son-in-law lose.
Winner: Team SD! wins when Big Show betrays the RAW team… surprise?
That’s it. Goodbye.
